Supporting ReLove with the Right Cleaning Solution
ReLove is an non-for-profit organsiation that provides essential home furnishings to women and families coming out of crisis situations. Their unique approach gives women the opportunity to “shop” for the furniture and household items they need at no cost, offering a fresh start filled with dignity, comfort, and choice.;
Challenge
ReLove operates out of a busy 2,500m² facility that combines warehouse and retail spaces, serving as a constant hub of activity. With daily furniture donations being sorted, moved, and shipped, and regular foot traffic and forklift use, the space was becoming increasingly difficult to keep clean and well-maintained. Previously, end-of-day cleaning relied on manual brooms and took up to five people to complete. As a volunteer-driven organisation, this became time-consuming and physically demanding, diverting valuable resources away from their core purpose of supporting women and families in crisis. ReLove reached out to Tennant looking for a more efficient and sustainable cleaning solution.
Solution
After learning more about ReLove’s environment and operational needs, we recommended the Tennant S7 Walk-Behind Sweeper as the ideal solution. Its compact design makes it easy to manoeuvre through tight spaces, while its effectiveness in picking up light dust and debris makes it perfect for ReLove’s warehouse and retail space.
Given the facility’s low-frequency cleaning needs and reliance on volunteers, the S7 stood out for its simplicity, ease of training, and low ongoing maintenance costs, an important consideration for any not-for-profit organisation.

Supporting with More Than Just Equipment
Our support extended beyond simply providing the S7 sweeper. To ensure ReLove could maximise the value of the equipment, Tennant delivered the machine directly to their facility and conducted on-site training with their team. This practical, hands-on approach enabled staff and volunteers to quickly gain confidence in operating the sweeper and share that knowledge with others, ensuring ongoing ease of use across their volunteer-based workforce.
Since the S7’s introduction, ReLove has significantly reduced the time and resources previously required for daily cleaning tasks. More importantly, this improvement has enabled volunteers to focus on their core mission: supporting women and families transitioning out of crisis.
